Capricorn Horoscope March 2010

You have a busy month in store, and it will all be quite exciting, so sharpen your pencil! You'll have plenty of details to keep track of in March, a month just bursting with communication from all sides.

If you have ever dreamed of writing a book, having your own magazine column, running your own ad agency, hosting your own TV show, or designing your own iPhone app, this is your moment to strike. There won't be any reason to put this off even one more day, for no matter what phase of communication you might be interested in working on, you'll be in luck now. Writers, editors, translators, copywriters, proof readers, TV anchors, spokespersons, radio hosts, salesmen, advertising creative directors, producers, PR specialists, actors, voice over artists, teachers, marketing experts, lecturers, screenplay writers, code writers, reporters, stand up comics, and those who do improvisation - no matter how you communicate as part of your job (or hope to soon), you could see a major breakthrough as a result of the stunningly strong and benefic planets circulating in your chart.

This month will bring exceptional growth in your ability to get your point across. You can learn to do it in a stronger, better, more effective way than you ever have before. You may hire someone to help you or you may choose to do things alone. You may be invited to expand your specialty in a very unusual, exciting way, and if this should happen, you won't see this particular offer coming. For example, if you've always edited someone's work, you may be invited to write your own book. If you've always written books, you may be asked to host a TV show on the subject of your expertise. Growing by switching or adding a new communications expertise will be common.

You may even stretch farther if the opportunity presents itself. If you are an accountant with a wacky sense of humor, you may be asked to do standup in a neighborhood club - and joke about your specialty!

Any new area that you learn about will help your creativity in all parts of your life, even those unrelated to what you usually do, in ways you can't quite imagine. Accept the offer if one comes your way now. In a month this grand, anything is possible. If you have always dreamed of selling a book idea, write up your treatment now! Do you have an idea for a blog? Meet with a designer and make it happen. If you already have a website, you may decide to change its look from the inside out. On any scale, big or small, your ability to communicate effectively will be your ticket to success.

In a month where so much rests on your abilities to communicate clearly and effectively, you might want to go back to the classroom or hire a tutor to help you master your skills or develop new talents. You can take creative writing, work with a voice coach, learn a new language, brush up your grammar skills, get TV media training, or learn to do public speaking. The possibilities will be as deep as they will be broad. The ancient astrologers knew communication forms the bedrock of all human interaction and deserved a whole area of the chart all to itself. Everyone benefits when the message and intent underlying the message is clear.

The five planets filling your third house of communication will all be in the creative, right-brain sign of Pisces, one of the most intuitive, instinctive, and insightful signs of the zodiac. Pisces is also one of the most artistic and emotionally intelligent signs, so the implication of this month is that you will have an ability to create messages, in any medium, that convey your deepest feelings about the subject you are focused on. As a Capricorn, you are a practical, no-nonsense soul, but in March you can wear your heart on your sleeve and learn to love it. Showing a new side to yourself will be liberating and growth producing.

Last month, in late February, thanks to the legendary meeting of Jupiter and the Sun over the weekend of February 27-28, you may have already noticed that communications projects are bubbling up for you.

All these planets will encourage you to travel short distances too, so if you need a new car, consider buying one now, in March. It would be a superb month to do so.

Keep in mind that next month Mercury will be retrograde from April 18 to May 11, but you will feel the mix-ups, delays, and haywire effects of Mercury retrograde as soon as April 4. Next month will not be the time to buy anything expensive, and certainly not a car. It is never advisable to buy any electronics or machine with moving parts because Mercury rules those parts, as well as all buying and selling, agreements, contracts and negotiating. If you can't buy what you need in March, wait until the end of May to do so.

If you were born on January 15, you will benefit the most from the energies swirling around you regarding the topics you and I have been discussing: learning, communicating, teaching, and travel.

Still, due to the position of Jupiter in earlier degrees, those Capricorn readers born near December 31 to January 5 will also have a heavenly month. Yet every Capricorn will feel this energy, especially as you move through April, May, and early June, and then again later in the year. This is a trend that is here to stay and that will only expand, and it could leave you richer with many more stars on your lapel.

This month has a number of special days to watch, so let's look at those now.

On Wednesday, March 3, Venus will conjoin Uranus, bringing a sudden trip or news by text that makes you jump for joy. The subject could be love, but it could easily be career-oriented instead. Either way, you'll be beaming.

Sunday, March 7, will be a standout day, especially for signing a contract and negotiating agreements for yourself or on behalf of others. This is a Sunday, but you may feel this energy sooner, on Friday, March 5, or Monday, March 8. If you are a courtroom lawyer, you'll move the jury in early March, for your words will be eloquent and precisely chosen. Indeed, your mind will be lit with a million points of light. If you have to make a presentation or take a qualifying exam, study hard, for you should be able to ace it. Are you captain of the debating team? Good! When it comes to communication, this month you'll be unbeatable.

Next comes the new moon March 15 that will open a threshold of two weeks of energy. All that I have been discussing with you, dear Capricorn, will become much more prominent in the two weeks that follow this full moon.

March 15 will be important for another reason, because on that day Mercury will combine forces with Uranus. Both planets are associated with intelligence and original thinking. Uranus, the modern planet, is associated with genius and is considered the higher octave of Mercury, bringing human thought to a whole new plane of sophistication. On this rare day - which happens once a year - these two meet to allow you to break down barriers and assumptions. At work you'll stun co-workers with breakthrough ideas you will be capable of delivering rapid fire. Expect this of yourself!

On this same day, you may be traveling quite spontaneously to another town, and you'd have no notice ahead of time that you'd be going! Keep your bags ready!

On March 17, the theme of creating original work, breaking barriers, liberating your mind, and expressing yourself in a way you've never been able to do before is again underscored at the meeting of Uranus and the Sun. The Sun also has to do with joint resources in your chart, so you may get a large check or have to write one, but chances are stacked in your favor - I feel it's more likely that money will come in to you.

Speaking of money, you've been concerned with expenses over the past few months, and your ability to make more money seems to have been hampered by circumstances. Now that will change as Mars moves direct speed from March 10 on. During the period March 10 to June 7, you should be able to find ways to increase your cash flow, especially if you are dealing with venture capitalists, bankers, or the courts, or are anticipating money from other sources outside of your regular paycheck.

Don't sign a contract on March 18 or 19, however, when Mercury and Saturn will be at odds. Your deal likely won't stick, and you may have problems with it.

Still, try not to put off signing papers until next month, for as said previously, Mercury will be retrograde. Try for early to mid-March, or, if possible sign on the sterling day of March 22 when Mars and Saturn will be so friendly to one another.

On Sunday, March 21, the Sun will be in conversation with two planets, sending somewhat mixed messages. Saturn will oppose the Sun, a time when most of us feel a bit weary, perhaps because you've been working too hard, with not enough time for relaxation. This weekend, clear your mind and do something relaxing that you enjoy doing. Be with others and try to get your mind off everyday matters, just for this weekend.

Happily, over the same weekend, the Sun and Mars will be beautifully oriented. Over this weekend you may make a very positive home or family-related decision or home-related purchase. If you need additional funds to do so, those funds seem to be there for you. Home-related decisions are now about to become a bigger theme, and you will notice that this next month.

For now, at month's end, you'll see a major career development, thanks to the full moon March 29, plus or minus five days. You seem poised to take on a position of enormous responsibility, one that will require a great deal of study and learning before you feel you've mastered it. The job will excite you though, because for the first time, you will have a whole new territory to explore, discover, and develop. It will take you until the end of 2012 to fully master this job, but as you probably already know, you'll be a force of nature by then.

If for any reason you don't get the job you want this month, don't worry - you will get a second chance to vie for an equally good job later in the year.

With Pluto in hard angle to Saturn, you may not always agree with older VIPs at the firm. If you have to tangle with powerful people, you can do so gently, choosing all the right words, because this month will be all about becoming sophisticated in your methods of communication. In the old days you might have simply blurted out your thoughts, but that was then and this is now. Your wisdom is showing, and it looks mighty impressive.

In romance, your best moments will come while Venus tours Pisces, March 1 to 6. Quick, short travel seems the way to find and encourage love to grow. If you can spend quality time with your significant other, do. If you can't, Venus' entry into Taurus on March 31 until April 25 will be a highly romantic time, and May will only grow even more important for love.

Romance will be best on: March 3, 4, 8, 9, 12-15, 22, 27-28, and 31.

Summary

The weather is getting warmer and it's time to hit the road. With a crowd of planets in your third house of travel, get out your map, pick a spot, and go. Travel would bring inspiration and open your mind to new ideas, if only because you'll be in a new setting and able to forget some of the same day-to-day things that always consume your thinking.

With a packed third house, you may be buying, selling, or signing a long-range contract. As long as your expectations are sensible, you won't have too much difficulty negotiating your price. Planets in Pisces beautifully support your Sun, so you'll find that overall, things will go your way. Just avoid signing on March 18-19 when planets will be out of sorts.

Next month, beginning April 17, Mercury will be retrograde for three weeks. This means this month would be the better time to make decisions and deals, and also to buy things you need or want.

Have you been thinking of starting a blog, redoing your website, starting an advertising or publicity campaign, sending out a self-promotion campaign, or doing some journaling? Do you want to have your own TV show, become a bureau chief, or start a whole network? Think big, dear Capricorn. No matter what your plan happens to be, March will be your month to get your ideas off the drafting board and into reality.

Finances may have been a sore point lately, but things are getting better this month. If you are owed money, you stand a better chance of being paid now. Also if you are in talks concerning a court settlement or in a dispute with an insurance company or other entity, despite your fears that talks would drag on forever, that's not the case - you are close to nailing a settlement. If that does not happen now, it certainly can happen by mid-to-late August. Mars has been retrograde in your house of other people's money since December 20 but will resume strong orbit on March10. Finally, there won't be as much waiting, and you'll be able to move ahead with a greater sense of purpose.

Home-related plans will get a nice push too, and so you may get word back about a mortgage you applied for, or a refinancing plan, or bank loan you need to get started on home improvements. Your plans to renovate, paint, buy new furniture, or move will get a boost too, because Mars is the natural ruler of your home sector and is about to regulate its orbit. The spring is a great time to focus on home, so throw open the windows and roll up your sleeves. Next month your plan will move to a new level of advancement.

The month ends with big news about your career. The full moon on March 29 will illuminate your standing in your industry, your company, or concerning a job you have interviewed for. You will get answers now, and if you get a new job (very possible), the position you will move into is likely to be one that comes with quite a bit of responsibility. It will bring you lucrative ways to make money, too, and it seems to include a performance-based commission or bonus.

Your new job won't be an easy one - you will have to adjust and learn as you go - but this new job will come with power and authority. That's the kind of job that is right up your ally, so snap it up.

If someone else gets the job, there will be more career opportunities for you near the new moon October 7, so don't despair. Over the long range, the smart money's on you, dear Capricorn. Stay strong and confident.

Dates to note:

As you begin the month, you seem to be coming back from a long rip, but it won't end your roaming days.

The new moon on March 15 could set up a chance to travel quite unexpectedly to a nearby city. Business seems the reason for your journeys, and it's a good time to find accord.

Ideas that come to you on March 15 to 17 will have everyone calling you a genius. Speak up!

Consider launching an advertising or publicity campaign in the second half of the month, sometime after March 15.

Late March would be the perfect time to launch a new blog or cell phone app, or to take classes in creative writing.

Finances have concerned you since mid-October, and expenses have been high. When Mars goes direct on March 10, you may get an approval for a loan, mortgage, or line of credit for your business. Continue to keep your eye on spending until early June.

Your spending may be for home, property, or family - there seems to be a link to that house. The new moon March 15 will be perfect to lease, buy, or sell an apartment or house, to make repairs, reorganize, renovate, or redecorate your home. When it comes it will be very sudden, and could come in a very strange, odd way. Be ready.

This month would be ideal for a party at your home (not a club or restaurant). Give it until April 27 or 28, or if you want to do so earlier, March 6 or 7.

Your career will bring very big news at the full moon March 29. You may get a very responsible new position or see another major shift take place. You will have to quickly make a big strategic decision as a result of events that come up.

Romance will be best on: March 3, 4, 8, 9, 12-15, 22, 27-28, and 31.

Romance will heat up once Venus enters Taurus on March 31 - April 25. Lovely!
